What is Windows Command Prompt??

       It is a built-in CLI (Command Line Interface) that is available in Mirosoft Windows. A CLI is a software or an interpreter that accepts commands in the form of code of single line.

          Earlier before Windows was created, Microsoft had an CLI OS named MS-DOS (MS for Microsoft and DOS for Disk Operating System). When windows was released MS-DOS was integrated in it as Command Prompt. The actions that coud be performed on DOS can also be performed on Command Ptompt.

Windows has its own GUI (Graphical User Interface) through which it can be easily controlled. But with Command Prompt, we can get advanced control over the Windows & CLI requires less resources to process which increases execution speed.

The syntax of the commands of Command Prompt are very easy. It is way much easier than C, C++, etc. One more advantage is we can predefine the code that is to be executed in an executable file.

It is known as Batch Programming. It supports conditional programming and many more. I will try to teach this language with help of some cool examples in my next post.

Windows Command Prompt

Advantages of Command Prompt :-

1.     Very Simple Syntax.

2.     Allows scripting

3.     Its look can be customized(Backgroung Colour, Foreground Colour, Font, Font Size, etc.)

Disadvantages of Command Prompt:-

1.     As compared to Linux’s Terminal (Another CLI), it is less powerful as Terminal offers more control over the system.

2.     At some times, Command Prompt crashes without giving information about the error.

Customized Command Prompt

Steps to run Command Prompt:-

1.     Open the Start Menu OR press the Windows Key.

2.     In the search box, type ‘cmd’

3.     Hit Enter

Alternate Method:-

1.     Press Windows Key + R. This will trigger the Run Dialog Box

2.     Type ‘cmd’ in it.

3.     Hit Enter

Get Google Assistant On Android Lollipop 5.0(No Root)

 Hello Friends,

                          I know many of the users have Android Lollipop 5.0 and are waiting for the 6.0 Marshmallow to be officially released from the Manufacturers. As Android 6.0 Marshmallow has a bunch of new features. But the most cool and interesting feature is the Google Assistant.

                          Its obviously better than Google Now and is very much useful. If you don't know what you can do with Google Assistant, here is a Video that will tell you the 10 most Cool things that you can do with Google Assistant.

            But today, I will tell you how to Enable Google Assitant on Android Lollipop 5.0.
The most amazing thing is it can be done without Rooting your Android Device. I've tested this method on My Device using Nova Launcher and it is working fineHere is a Step By Step method to do so:-

                    1. Go to The Play Store And in My Apps Panel, Tap on Goggle App go downwards and you will see a Beta Testing program. Join It. Wait a while and you can get the BETA version of the Google App. Click on Update.
                   2. After the update is complete, open Google App and set default Language to English US. 
                   3. Now you have an option to Install Activity Launcher or Nova Launcher. You can find them on Play Store or click on the Names. The Further Guide is divided according to the Launcher you prefer.

                 4. If you use Activity Launcher :-
                           I. Open Activity Launcher
                       II. Tap on the “Recent activities” tab up top and select “All activities.” Wait for all                          activities to load.
                      III. Scroll down until you find the Google App. Tap on it to expand all available                             activities under the Google App.
                      IV. Find com.google.android.apps.gsa.staticplugins.opa.hq.OpaHqActivity. You                            can either tap on it once or create a shortcut to it on your launcher.
                       V. You’ll now find yourself within the new Assistant “explore” screen where                                  Google categorizes available integrations, how to use them, and quick                                     access to make custom shortcuts.
                      VI. Swipe over to the “Your Stuff” tab up top.
                     VII. Tap on “Add Reminder” to trigger Google Assistant.                           
                    VIII. You’ll now be taken through the hotword setup process. Teach it to                                          recognize your voice, and you’re done! Now you can access Google                                      Assistant by saying “OK Google!”

                  5. If you use Nova Launcher :-
                        I. Find an empty spot on your home screen and long-press to add something                            new.
                     II. Tap on “Widgets.”
                    III. Under “Nova Launcher” tap and hold “Activities” and drag it to your home                              screen.

                    IV. Scroll down and find the “Google App.”
                     V. Tap on it to expand it, and                                    select com.google.android.apps.gsa.staticplugins.opa.hq.OpaHqActivity.                                                                                         
                    VI. This will add a new “Google Assistant” icon to your home screen which is a                             shortcut to this activity. Tap on this icon.
                   VII. You’ll now find yourself within the new Assistant “explore” screen where                                 Google categorizes available integrations, how to use them, and quick                                   access to make custom shortcuts.
                  VIII. Swipe over to the “Your Stuff” tab up top.
                    IX. Tap on “Add Reminder” to trigger Google Assistant.

Talking Calculator!! Yes, it does talk!!!

Hello Friends,
                       Wouldn't it be cool if you type an expression in your calculator and your calculator speaks out the answer. Yes, it is possible on Windows or maybe on Linux as well (I haven't tried that yet).

                      I programmed it myself with a low level programming Language i.e Batch Programming. It is easy to Understand and to learn.I am only showing the working of the compiled version. DOES MEMORY CLEANING APPS REALLY WORK?

   Hello friends,
 Today we're going to discuss about the MEMORY CLEANING apps. There are tons of Apps available on the Google Play Store. The most common examples are Clean Master, CCleaner,etc. Such apps claim to be boosting your smartphone. But do you know what they really do?


  Basically, these apps automatically clean the cache memory and junk files on your phone. Here is the detailed information on what these apps do :-

    1. Clean up Cache memory :-
    As the Android system and its Apps work, they create some data and save it in the form of cache. This cache is used again when we reopen the apps.

    2. Clean up Junk Files :-
     Junk Files are those files which are there in the memory for a long time and have not been used. This may contain APKs of installed apps, data left by applications after being uninstalled, garbage data of no use.

    3. Memory Boosting :- 
     Every Android Service and App require their space in the RAM to work. To free RAM these apps stop other apps running in the background especially the Social media Apps.

    4. Ad Junk :-
     Whenever you browse internet, you may see various Ads appearing on to your browser, these ads save their data on a temporary location on your device. Sometimes it happens that these files remain on your device as they are. These apps clean these Junk.


   But, all the things written above can be done manually. Now moving on why you shouldn't use this apps :-

    1. Eat Battery Life :-
       The main function of these apps is to remove the cache memory of the apps. But as we use the apps the cache is generated again and again. These cycle continues and battery drains.


    2. Keep a watch over your activities :-
      These apps are always running in the background and keep a watch over your activities.
3. Slow down your phone :-
Yes, these apps claim to be boosting your device, but every time we close an app, its cache is deleted. When we launch the app next time, these apps regenerate this cache and it takes more time for the Apps to launch.

    4. Social Networking apps :-
 These apps clear all the background apps and their services so the Social apps won't be giving you any notification.

    5. Unnecessarily Consume space :-
  We can clean up our junk files and cache memory manually according to our necessities. But by keeping these apps our storage is unnecessarily Consumed.


So, we've seen what Clean Master and similar apps do. Some of it is useful but some is very harmful for our services. But , I personally recommend that you should stop using such apps if you want a healthy battery.
